John 15:5
John 15:5
"Yes I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing."
O/A- Jesus is the way. Apart from we can do nothing of lasting value. For the fruit that is produced through Jesus is everlasting and eternal but without him it would be rotten and decay. For Christ is the source of life eternal, there is no other but him. It's his blood that atones for our sin, it's his sacrifice that makes our salvation possible. We must remain connected to Christ for spiritual fruitfulness.
Father thank you for your word today. It is a reminder that it is only through Christ that we have eternal life. Nothing we could ever do could measure up but he went and paid it all. Once for all of time took what we deserved and was nailed to a cross in all his perfectness, he never sinned but paid a sinners death so that we could have life eternal. Apart from Christ we can do nothing, that says it all. Father we need Christ in all we do. For he is the vine of life and we are the branches. Father gives us strength to remain in him and not ourselves. Continue to prune the branches in our lives that do not bear good fruit so that good fruit can grow. Let you word fill our hearts and may the Holy Spirit lead guide and direct us in Jesus name amen.
